CLUJ-NAPOCA: Ancient settlement, the city of Cluj-Napoca fluorishes in the Roman Epoch and then in the Middle Ages as an important urban and commercial center. Nowadays, Cluj-Napoca is an important cultural center (the National Theatre in Cluj, the Romanian Opera, the Philarmonic, the "Gheorghe Dima" Musical Academy) and eduational center (10 universities - 6 public and 4 private - in which over 2.200 teachers are teaching 35.000 students). The Cluj County is one of the most developed and equilibrated Counties in Romania. Its economic potential resides in local resources, tradition and experience in most of the economic and social activities, as well as by its leadership position in Transylvania, due to its favorable location, at the crossroads of major economic routes linking Central Europe with the Balkan Area.
